Three letters for Schiller Schule
If a school‘s name contains two „Sch“ than these three letters have to be its logo – done!
Working for this small school in the south german city of Aalen has been a great pleasure and surprising experience. Using a typeface that has been ever since neglected by the design community and using no colour has been a good exercise in abdication. We found that the Arial might not be a typographer‘s dream font but it is the most democratic and embracing design element there is.
We suggested to use only words that start with a „sch...“ and presented to them a book with all the necessary words and without the unnecessary ones.
