With less than 90 Students it is on of the smallest in Germany. And we are happy to anounce that in a ranking of the weekly magazine FOCUS, it has been evaluated in the top flight of 46 departments throughout the country.
Since 2004 Sven Voelker is Professor and Head of the Communication Design Department. The department went through a major change in the past years from a graphic design school to a unique interdisciplinary communication design course.
A distinctive feature of the Communication Design Department is to conduct large parts of its teaching through international guests. In the past years KarlssonWilker, Francois Chalet, Fiona Raby, Laurie Haycock Makela, Ronald Jones, Laurent Lacour and many others have been working with students on projects and in seminars.
Next door to the world famous ZKM it offers its students an exciting space for experiments and exploration.
